Hotel Cotton smells like a freshly made bed in a quiet hotel room: cotton, powder and a warm trace of musk. It comes from Villa Erbatium, a Korean niche house that makes its perfumes on a base of food-grade fermented alcohol, and it was created as part of a collaboration with the Korean retailer Musinsa. Perfumer Ha Minseo Caterina built it around cotton flower and mimosa over white musk, sandalwood and black amber. The house describes it as a floral amber-musk with a milky edge, and wearers agree about the milky, powdery side. One Parfumo reviewer found it more powder room than fresh laundry, so if you want a crisp detergent-clean scent, expect something softer and warmer.
