Suma Oriental is one of Une Nuit Nomade's earlier releases, dating to 2015, composed by Anne-Sophie Behaghel and Amélie Bourgeois. Named for the old trading region of Southeast Asia, it's built around patchouli wrapped in rum, cocoa, and tonka bean.

Rum, cocoa, and cypriol open it with a boozy, smoky edge, patchouli carries the heart, and a stack of woods (cashmere wood, gaiac wood, sandalwood, and clearwood) along with tonka bean and musk close out a warm, amber base.

• Sweet: 35% (tonka bean, cocoa)
• Smoky & Boozy: 10% (rum, cypriol)

Translation: a woody-amber built on patchouli and rum-soaked cocoa, no real oud here, the "amber" comes from cypriol's earthy, smoky character.
