Oud Wood Intense has almost nothing in common with the smooth, creamy Oud Wood: it is a dark, leathery, animalic oud with a cold green edge. Released by Tom Ford's Private Blend in 2017 and since discontinued, it pairs genuine agarwood and castoreum with cypress, juniper, angelica and ginger. The castoreum gives it a leather-and-smoke feel, while the cypress, juniper and angelica keep it sharp and aromatic instead of sweet.
