• Lost Cherry: black cherry, cherry liqueur and bitter almond over Turkish rose and jasmine, on tonka, Peru balsam and sandalwood. Sweet, boozy and sensual.
• F*cking Fabulous: lavender and clary sage over bitter almond, orris and soft leather, on tonka, vanilla and cashmeran. Creamy, powdery and a little dangerous.
• Oud Wood: agarwood with rosewood, cardamom and sandalwood, softened by vetiver, tonka and amber. One of the first designer ouds, and still one of the smoothest.
• Neroli Portofino: bergamot, lemon and mandarin over neroli, orange flower and jasmine, on amber and angelica. Bright Italian-coast citrus.
• Tobacco Vanille: tobacco leaf and spices over vanilla, cacao and tonka, with dried fruit and woods in the base. Warm, sweet and very cold-weather.

How To Use a Discovery Set

Each 1mL sample comes in a 2mL vial filled halfway, so the vial will look half full. That is the correct amount, and it gives you roughly 15 sprays. Every vial is labeled with the fragrance name.

Wear one fragrance a day, on skin rather than a paper strip, and give it the whole day. The first ten minutes are the loudest and least representative part of any fragrance; judge it at hour three. Once you have a shortlist of two, wear them on opposite wrists and compare. Neroli Portofino is the lightest and Tobacco Vanille the heaviest, so try the citrus on a warm day and the tobacco on a cold evening.

Does Oud Wood contain real oud?
Yes. Agarwood is at the center of it, but softened with rosewood, cardamom, sandalwood and tonka, so it reads smooth rather than smoky or medicinal.
