Chapter One smells like the inside of an old Indian bookstore — leather, paper, spice and wood, all held in quiet warmth. Created by perfumer Kajal Gujar for Rahasya and launched in 2024, it opens with aldehydes, cardamom and tobacco that crack like a fresh spine, before orris and lily of the valley settle soft as worn pages. Leather grounds the heart with timeless, analog warmth, and the base closes on cedarwood and Mysore sandalwood — the quiet hush of shelves that have held stories for decades. Rahasya uses DREAMWOOD®, a biotech Mysore sandalwood produced through fermentation from sustainable feedstock, preserving the scent of the real material without contributing to over-harvesting.
