Percival (2018), composed by Hamid Merati-Kashani, is Parfums de Marly's fresh aromatic — bergamot, mandarin and lavender over a crisp, green-aromatic accord, with jasmine, violet and spice running through the heart before a warm, peppery, ambery musky-woody base carries it into evening. Percival takes its name from the maison's roster of celebrated thoroughbreds — alongside Godolphin, Herod, and Pegasus — continuing founder Julien Sprecher's tribute, since the house's 2009 launch, to the horse-and-perfume passions of Louis XV's court.
