Description

Parfums de Marly's Delina (2017) was an instant cult classic, and Delina Exclusif (2018) is the maison's richer, more contemplative answer to it. Composed by Quentin Bisch, Exclusif opens with the same juicy litchi-and-pear signature but weights the heart with a denser Turkish rose warmed by agarwood and incense, then settles into a plush vanilla-amber base — less "fresh rose" and more rose wrapped in furs. Parfums de Marly's entire concept, since founder Julien Sprecher launched the house in 2009, is a tribute to the court of Louis XV and his twin passions for perfume and thoroughbred horses; Delina itself, per the brand, celebrates the refined women of that court, their gowns catching morning light among the palace flowerbeds and a luminous damascena rose. Exclusif is the evening-gown version of that tribute.
