• Sun-Gria: blood orange, mandarin and ginger, then blackcurrant, red wine, peach and raspberry over brown sugar, vanilla and tonka bean. Fruity and spiced, built around the idea of sangria.
• Summer Hammer: mango, pineapple, coconut and white rum, then coconut milk and marine notes over vetiver, sandalwood and musk. Tropical and juicy.
• Evil Angel: mint and citrus over a boozy whiskey accord, settling on vanilla, myrrh and woods. Fresh at first, then warm and resinous.
• Sex Sea: mint, wormwood and citrus, then fig and Sardinian myrtle over salt, algae, ambergris and patchouli. A green, salty Mediterranean marine.
• Dream Sea: watery notes and pepper, then white flowers, rose and ylang-ylang over salt, sandalwood, cedar and vanilla. A floral marine, softer than the other sea scents here.
• Carbonara: black and pink pepper, coconut and smoke, then jasmine, davana and rum over cane sugar, vanilla, amber and oud. Peppery, smoky and sweet.
• Artik Sea: yuzu, lime and bergamot, then fig, myrtle and wisteria over salt, seaweed, ambergris and oakmoss. An icy, citrus-bright marine.
• Bloody Smoke: mineral and metallic notes with elemi and jasmine, then incense and tonka bean over myrrh, ambergris, vanilla and sandalwood. Cold and metallic at first, then resinous.
• Esco Pazzo: wormwood, cypress, citrus and pepper, then mate, lavender, geranium and saffron over tobacco, leather and amber. Aromatic and spicy, in the fougère style.
• Van Sea: wormwood, mint, yuzu and vanilla, then marine notes, myrtle and caramel over salt, patchouli and tonka bean. Vanilla by the sea, sweet and salty at once.
• Narcotix Citrus: pineapple, yuzu, bergamot and green apple, then rose, jasmine and birch over cedar, ambroxan and vanilla. Bright citrus with a floral, woody middle.
• Fom: whiskey, rum and caramel, then birch tar and labdanum over oud, leather, cedar and myrrh. Smoky, boozy and dark.

How To Use a Discovery Set

Each 1mL sample comes in a 2mL vial filled halfway, so the vial will look half full. That is the correct amount, and it gives you roughly 15 sprays. Every vial is labeled with the fragrance name.

Wear one fragrance a day, on skin rather than a paper strip, and give it the whole day. The first ten minutes are the loudest and least representative part of any fragrance, so judge it at hour three. Once you have a shortlist of two, wear them on opposite wrists and compare. Five of these are sea-themed (Black Sea, Sex Sea, Dream Sea, Artik Sea and Van Sea), so test them in pairs rather than one after another. Wearing two on opposite wrists makes it much easier to tell the salty, floral, icy and vanilla versions apart.
