Roasted Green Tea is a cup of hojicha: toasty, nutty tea leaves with a splash of steamed milk. It is No. 01 in the line from the Tokyo house J-Scent, first released in 2015. Green tea, peanut and coconut open warm and savory, with a hint of dried kelp that nods to gyokuro and seaweed. Mint, jasmine and wintergreen keep the heart cool, and cedarwood, clover, iris and vanilla give it a soft, milky finish. It is realistic in the opening and gentler as it settles.
