Imitation Man is Amouage's leather statement, a spiced citrus opening that dries down into one of the house's most animalic, skin-warm bases. Created by Leslie Girard and released in 2018, it opens with citron, nutmeg, and black pepper before Turkish rose, orris, and violet soften the heart. The base is where it turns serious: leather, vetiver, castoreum, patchouli, and myrrh combine into a rich, slightly dirty leather accord built from Amouage's signature quality raw materials.
