Description

London is Widian's leathery-fruity extrait, composed by Jordi Fernández and released in 2018.

Genuine oud and cypress open it dark and resinous, then juicy raspberry and lily of the valley cut across that darkness. The contrast is the whole idea. It settles into leather, amber, musk and vanilla, and reviewers repeatedly describe the result as velvety, several noting it wears almost like a suede accord rather than a hard leather.

Scent Character

  • Sweet: 39% (vanilla, raspberry, amber)
  • Floral: 22% (violet, lily of the valley)
  • Oud: 22% (agarwood)
  • Woody: 17% (cypress)

Translation: real oud softened by fruit and florals, over a velvety leather-amber base. Deep and rich, but rounder and more wearable than a traditional oud.

Fragrance Pyramid

  • Top: Oud, Cypress, Violet
  • Heart: Raspberry, Lily of the Valley
  • Base: Leather, Musk, Vanilla, Amber

Performance

Longevity: Excellent, commonly 8–10 hours, with a number of wearers reporting past ten. Expected at extrait concentration.

Sillage: Above average, though it sits closer to the skin than the oud opening suggests. The florals are what pull it inward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a real oud fragrance?
Yes. Unlike many scents marketed as oud, agarwood is genuinely in the composition here and is present from the opening.

Will the oud be too much for a beginner?
Less than you would expect. Raspberry, violet and lily of the valley soften it considerably, which is what makes London one of the more approachable oud fragrances.

How does the extrait differ from the eau de parfum?
The extrait is the higher concentration, so it lasts longer and sits richer. The character is the same; the intensity is not.
