The Harmonist Velvet Fire Parfum

Description

Velvet Fire is an aromatic tobacco-and-oud scent: clary sage and cypress on top, tobacco and saffron in the heart, oud and tonka underneath. The Harmonist builds its range around the Chinese five elements and yin and yang, and Velvet Fire is one of its fire scents, composed with perfumer Guillaume Flavigny. The opening is herbal and green, almost like a fougère, with aromatic myrtle and resinous cypress. Tobacco, saffron and a touch of neroli warm it through the middle, and the base settles into agarwood, cistus (labdanum) and sweet tonka bean. It is warm and smoky without turning heavy.

Scent Character

Translation: a genuine oud base carries the most weight, with a real fresh, herbal lift from sage, cypress and myrtle. The rest is evenly spread across tobacco, tonka, saffron and neroli.
