Tauer Perfumes Orange Star EDP
Description
Orange Star is Andy Tauer's ninth fragrance, released in 2010 on a deliberate contrast: fragile orange blossom against thick, weighty amber. Clementine and mandarin orange open bright and sunny, before an orange blossom and lemongrass heart settles into a soft base of ambergris, tonka bean and vanilla. It launched with a U.S. event at Scent Bar in Los Angeles in April 2010, where Andy Tauer himself met fans, a reminder that this is a one-man house where the perfumer signs his own work.

FAQ
Is Orange Star a citrus fragrance?
It opens that way, but the citrus is a contrast device. It settles into a soft, ambery, tonka-vanilla base rather than staying purely fresh.
Is it unisex?
Yes, Fragrantica lists it as a fragrance for both women and men.
What's the longevity like?
Moderate: expect 4–6 hours with sillage that stays fairly close to the skin.
What season is it best for?
It's positioned as a Fall/Winter release in Tauer's catalog, but the bright orange-blossom opening also reads well in warmer months.
