L'Air du Désert Marocain is the 2005 fragrance that put Andy Tauer on the map. When perfume critic Luca Turin praised it in the NZZ Folio in 2006 with a five-star review, what was arguably the most niche of niche creations became famous almost overnight, and it's remained a cult reference point ever since, winning Fragrantica's Readers' Award for Best Niche Fragrance of All Time in 2021. Spiced with coriander, cumin and petitgrain, it unfolds into a heart of cistus (rock rose) and jasmine, resting on a dry, woody base of cedar, vetiver and ambergris.
