Scents of Wood Apricot in Cognac EDP
Description
Apricot in Cognac is a boozy fruit gourmand: honeyed apricot, toasted sesame and a warm splash of cognac. Released in 2024 by Scents of Wood, the house that ages its perfumes in wooden barrels, it was composed by Natasha Côté-Mouzannar and Pascal Gaurin. Juniper berry and bright orange open it, apricot, tangerine and orange flower form a juicy heart, and sandalwood, toasted sesame, benzoin and a cognac accord give it a nutty, resinous warmth. Buyers on the house site call it a very nice boozy warm fragrance, and the sesame keeps the sweetness from becoming syrupy.

Performance
Longevity: Around 3–5 hours on skin, longer on clothing.
Sillage: Moderate early on, then intimate.
Projection: Arm's length for the first hour, then a skin scent.
An honest note: early community reports put it at average longevity. It is a cozy wear rather than a room-filler.

FAQ

Only softly. The cognac accord adds a warm, boozy roundness rather than a sharp spirit note.
Is it very sweet?
It is a fruity gourmand, so it is sweet, but toasted sesame and sandalwood keep it nutty and smooth.
Why do bottles have different caps?
The bottle ships with either a gold or a black cap, and we cannot choose the color when ordering.

Unisex.
