Velvet Vendetta is a smoky, boozy, unapologetic vanilla from Sarah Baker Perfumes, an independent house founded in 2015 and run from a studio in East London. Composed by perfumer Margaux Le Paih Guérin and launched in 2025, it flips vanilla from sweet and polite into something darker: smoke, dried fruits, pink pepper and nutmeg open the scent, bourbon whiskey and olive run through a vanilla heart, and tobacco, black vanilla husk and resins sit in the base. The house's tagline for it is a vanilla with "no manners and no mercy."
