Description

English Pear & Freesia is ripe, juicy pear wrapped in white freesia and softened with amber and patchouli. Created by Christine Nagel for Jo Malone London in 2010, it takes its inspiration from Keats's poem "To Autumn" and the ripe fruit of an English orchard in autumn. Pear and melon give a crisp, dewy opening, freesia and rose make a soft floral heart, and patchouli, rhubarb, amber and musk round it into a warm, gently sweet finish. It is fruity and pretty without being sugary.

Translation: a sweet, fruity floral. Freesia and rose give the floral share, the woody share comes from patchouli, and the rich amber row is the amber and patchouli in the base, not oud.
