Vétiver Fauve is Guerlain's wild, tropical reinvention of a material the house has built its name on for over a century. Created by perfumer Delphine Jelk and released in 2025 as the newest chapter of the exclusive L'Art et la Matière collection, it was inspired by Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book — Jelk has described wanting to capture the warm, woody essence of vetiver tangled with an accord of green, wet tropical jungle, lit up by fig and pineapple. The result reads less like a classic barbershop vetiver and more like vetiver relocated to a humid rainforest at dawn. Because L'Art et la Matière releases are produced in limited runs sold only through Guerlain's own boutiques, Vétiver Fauve rarely turns up outside a full-price counter purchase — which is exactly the gap our decants fill.
