Description

A vanilla-soft suede that reads more like a cashmere-lined leather glove than a traditional leather fragrance. Created by Olivier Polge in 2005 for the launch of Guerlain's newly renovated flagship boutique on the Champs-Élysées, Cuir Béluga takes the house's leather heritage and wraps it in immortelle, patchouli, heliotrope, and vanilla until the "cuir" (leather) all but disappears under a gourmand, powdery haze. It's frequently cited by reviewers as one of the coziest, most approachable leathers ever made — closer to a vanilla-suede skin scent than the smoky birch-tar leathers of old. Two decades after its debut, it remains part of the boutique-exclusive L'Art et la Matière collection, which Venba carries as samples only.
