Camomille Satin is chamomile tea stirred into vanilla: herbal, honeyed and softly decadent. Composed by Julien Rasquinet and Paul Guerlain for the Antwerp fashion house Dries Van Noten, it sits in the aromatic amber family. Chamomile and bitter-orange petitgrain open it, lavender absolute, orange blossom and Turkish rose soften the heart, and vanilla bean, musk and a green twist of galbanum form the base. The house describes it as chamomile given gourmand and leathery vanilla facets, and the perfumers talk about the addictive pull of vanilla bean colored by the country charm of chamomile. The house states the formula is 87% naturally derived.
