Carolina Herrera Good Girl EDP
Description
Good Girl is the fragrance that made the dark gourmand floral a mass-market category, and the stiletto bottle made it impossible to ignore. Released in 2016 and composed by Louise Turner and Quentin Bisch, it opens on almond, coffee and bergamot, moves into a big white-floral heart of tuberose, jasmine sambac and orange blossom, and lands on roasted tonka bean, cocoa, patchouli and sandalwood. The trick of it is the contrast: the coffee and cocoa pull dark and bitter while the tuberose stays bright and creamy, and neither side ever quite wins.
How It Differs From the Rest of the Good Girl Line
The family has grown large enough to be genuinely confusing, and the names do not help. Good Girl, this one, is the original and the darkest: coffee, cocoa and tuberose, built for evening. Good Girl Blush is the opposite end, a soft peony-and-vanilla daytime reading with none of the coffee. Good Girl Blush Elixir deepens Blush rather than the original. Good Girl Légère is the lighter, airier take on the original's structure. Very Good Girl swaps the coffee for red fruit and rose. If you have only ever smelled one of these on someone else, it was probably this one.

Translation: the gourmand side leads (praline, cocoa and roasted tonka) but the white florals take better than a fifth of the profile on their own, which is why this reads as a floral gourmand rather than a dessert; the woods and the small resinous fraction are the sandalwood, cedar and patchouli that keep the base from turning syrupy.
Fragrance Pyramid

Performance
Longevity: Very strong, 8–12 hours is routine, and it survives on fabric.
Sillage: Large. This one announces itself.
Projection: Heavy for the first several hours before settling close.
An honest note: the common complaint about Good Girl is not that it is weak but that it is hard to get rid of. Reviewers regularly describe scrubbing it off and still smelling it the next morning. Two sprays is genuinely the ceiling, and one is often enough. Treat it as a full-strength evening fragrance and dose it accordingly, particularly in an office or anywhere with recycled air.
Best Occasions & Season
Built for Fall and Winter, and suited to Evening and Special Occasion wear. The coffee and cocoa base is cold-weather material and can turn cloying in real heat. Its size makes it a poor daytime-office choice, which is exactly what Blush and Légère exist to solve.

FAQ
Does Good Girl actually smell like coffee?
Yes, in the opening: alongside bitter almond. It is not a coffee fragrance overall, but the roasted note is real and it is what separates this from the tuberose gourmands it inspired.
How long does it last?
Eight to twelve hours on skin is typical and longer on clothing. It is one of the stronger designer releases on the market.
Does it contain oud?
No. There is no agarwood in it. The dark, resinous weight in the base comes from amber, patchouli and cocoa.
Good Girl or Very Good Girl?
Good Girl is the coffee-and-cocoa original; Very Good Girl trades that for red fruit and rose and reads brighter and younger. They are different fragrances, not two strengths of one.
