Description

Fall of Phaeton is a fiery spiced leather: bright citrus and ginger crashing into smoky agarwood and labdanum. Christian Petrovich created it for Argos, inspired by Peter Paul Rubens's painting of Phaeton, who lost control of the sun chariot and fell to earth. Bergamot, lemon, cardamom, pink peppercorn and ginger make the opening crackle. The heart is labdanum, lavender and agarwood, resinous and a little smoky. The base settles into musk, animalic leather, tonka bean and vanilla, warm and rich. It wears unisex and reviewers place it firmly in the cool months.

Scent Character

Translation: spicy first, from cardamom, ginger and pink pepper, with lavender adding an aromatic floral line and citrus keeping the top fresh. The agarwood is real but a supporting voice, and leather, tonka and vanilla carry the dry down.
