No 5 is a spiced vanilla-amber musk that grows richer the longer you wear it. Its full name, Nº 5 Floral, Amber, Sensual Musk, spells out the idea. It was released in 2017 by Rosendo Mateu, the Catalan perfumer who composed dozens of fragrances for major houses from 1968 before founding his own Barcelona label with his son Joan in 2010. Spices and exotic florals open it, carnation and lily of the valley add a clove-like softness, and the drydown is warm amber, vanilla and musk. Reviewers note that it shines most in the drydown, where it becomes a spicy-sweet vanilla musk, and one long-form review even called it a smoky vanilla.
