Penhaligon's Solaris EDP
Description
Solaris is Penhaligon's ode to the sun: a bright floral citrus that opens on lemon and blackcurrant and settles into white flowers and soft woods. The house describes a lively citrus meeting a powerful blackcurrant, then tiare flower, ylang-ylang and jasmine bringing a warm, sunlit white-floral heart. Cedar, sandalwood and a touch of vanilla give the drydown more body than a typical summer citrus, which is why it reads polished rather than sporty.
Fragrance Pyramid
- Top: Lemon, Blackcurrant
- Heart: Tiare Flower, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine
- Base: Cedar, Sandalwood, Vanilla
Performance
Longevity: Moderate. The citrus top is the first thing to fade; the white flowers and woods carry the rest of the wear.
Sillage: Moderate, a bright aura around you rather than a heavy trail.
Projection: Noticeable at arm's length early on, then softer.
An honest note: we could not find enough consistent wearer feedback to give a precise number of hours, so we have kept this general. Citrus-floral scents usually project most in the first hour.
