Description

Prismé Vert takes one idea, green, and refracts it, the way a prism splits white light into a spectrum. It opens bright and zesty on tangerine and lemon with pink pepper sharpening the edge, blooms into a rounded heart of Damask rose and jasmine sweetened by fig, and settles on saffron, creamy sandalwood, white musk and a soft touch of agarwood. Patek Maison built its reputation on compositions with niche ambition at accessible prices, and this is a fair example: a fresh-woody floral that is easy to wear and warmer in the base than its green name suggests. An Intense version followed in 2024 for anyone who wants the same idea turned up.

Scent Character

Translation: the woods take the largest share, which is what keeps this from being a simple citrus cologne, underneath the tangerine-and-lemon freshness there is a saffron-spiced, sandalwood-and-musk base holding it together, with the rose-jasmine-fig heart and a modest sweetness filling out the middle.

Note: the agarwood here is a shading, not a statement. It reads as dry, transparent woodiness alongside the saffron and sandalwood rather than the dark, smoky, medicinal oud of a Middle-Eastern composition, which is why the profile above places this with the woods.

Longevity: Roughly 5–7 hours on skin, longer on clothing.
Sillage: Moderate and close to the skin after the opening.

An honest note: some retailer listings quote 7–9 hours for this. That is optimistic. Treat it as a comfortable half-day fragrance, bright and radiant for the first hour or two, then a soft woody-musky skin scent, and reapply if you need it into the evening. At this price point that is an entirely fair trade, but we would rather you knew before buying.

Best Occasions & Season

The citrus-green opening is at its best in Spring and Summer, and the saffron-sandalwood base gives it enough warmth to carry into cooler weather without feeling out of place. It suits Work and Office wear particularly well (moderate projection, nothing polarising) and holds up for Evening. Unisex: the rose-jasmine heart and the dry woody base are balanced closely enough that it lands on either side.

FAQ

Does it smell like oud?
Not in the way most people mean. There is agarwood in the base, but it is used as a dry, transparent wood next to saffron and sandalwood, no smoke, no barnyard, nothing medicinal. If you are after a dark oud, this is not it; if oud usually overwhelms you, this is the approachable end of it.

Is it men's or women's?
Unisex. The citrus opening and dry woody base read masculine, the Damask rose and jasmine heart reads feminine, and neither takes over.

How long does it last?
About 5–7 hours, with the first hour or two the most projective. Longer on fabric than on skin.

How is it different from Prismé Vert Intense?
