Habdan takes its name from one of the five founding strains of the purebred Arabian horse, a bloodline Parfums de Marly commemorates across its Arabian Breed Collection alongside Oajan, Kuhuyan, and Hamdani. Legend places the Habdan strain on both Crusades-era battlefields and the racetrack, prized for grace and endurance, and Arabian horses of this lineage were later gifted to Louis XV's court and raced for its delight. Composed by perfumer Guillaume Flavigny and launched in 2013, this eau de parfum opens with a blaze of saffron and frankincense, folds in crisp apple, soft woody facets, and rose at the heart, then settles into a resinous, amber-warm base of myrrh, caramel, and ambergris, a spicy-amber built for cold-weather evenings, opulent without turning heavy.
