Dolce Passione is a chocolate gourmand with a twist: honey and red fruit up front, a savory truffle note underneath. Released in 2016 and composed by Arturetto Landi for the Rome house Pantheon Roma, it opens on chocolate and honey, moves into cocoa with plum, strawberry and vanilla, and settles on truffle, tonka bean, vanilla and white musk. The truffle keeps it from tipping into pure confectionery, giving the sweetness an earthy, grown-up edge. It is rich, dense and unapologetically sweet.
