Orto Parisi Stercus Parfum
Description
Stercus is Orto Parisi's most daring name wrapped around one of its most wearable scents: sweet almond and rose over animalic oud and soft leather. Composed by Alessandro Gualtieri and released in 2014 as part of Orto Parisi's first collection, it takes its name from the Latin for dung, a nod to decay and renewal. The opening is almond, aldehydes and anise, then a heart of rose, then a base of agarwood, leather, musk, vanilla, heliotrope and cedar. Some wearers notice a brief earthy, barnyard flicker from the oud in the first moments. After that, reviewers describe a warm, musky, almond-vanilla skin scent with a hint of leather, far gentler than the name suggests.
Scent Character
- Woody: 25%
- Sweet: 25%
- Floral: 20%
- Spicy: 10%
- Oud: 10%
- Fresh: 10%
Translation: cedar and oud give it its woody frame, almond, vanilla and heliotrope supply the sweetness, and rose holds the center. The spice is the anise; the small fresh share is the aldehydic lift at the start.
Fragrance Pyramid
- Top: Almond, Aldehydes, Anise
- Heart: Rose
- Base: Agarwood (Oud), Leather, Musk, Vanilla, Heliotrope, Cedar
Performance
Longevity: Long. Reviewers report 7 hours and more, and it clings to fabric.
Sillage: Moderate. Unlike some Orto Parisi scents it is not a projection monster.
Projection: Close to arm's length early on, then it becomes a warm skin scent.
An honest note: expect intimacy rather than a trail. If you want Orto Parisi at full volume, this is not the one.

FAQ
Does Stercus really smell bad?
No. The name is provocative, but after a brief earthy moment in the opening it wears as a soft almond, rose, vanilla and musk scent with light leather.
Does it contain real oud?
Yes. Agarwood is listed in the base alongside leather and musk, and it is responsible for the short animalic edge at the start.
Is it men's or women's?
Unisex.
How strong is it?
It lasts a long time but projects moderately, settling into a skin scent after the first hours.
