Omanluxury Caden EDP
Description
Caden is Omanluxury's 2025 release from perfumer Maxime Exler, built around Omani hospitality. The name means companion. It went on to win Niche Fragrance of the Year 2025.
It opens bold and smoky: saffron, cardamom and cade oil with a boozy lift, announcing itself immediately. The heart is where it earns its reputation: coffee, suede and benzoin, roasted rather than sweet. Vanilla, tonka and amberwood take the drydown, with guaiac wood and labdanum keeping it from tipping into dessert.

- Sweet: 42% (vanilla, tonka, benzoin)
- Woody: 25% (guaiac wood, amberwood)
- Smoky & Resinous: 17% (cade oil, labdanum)
- Spicy: 17% (saffron, cardamom)
Translation: a rich, smoky-sweet amber with roasted coffee and suede through the middle. Opulent and deliberately loud.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Caden contain oud?
No. The smoke comes from cade oil and guaiac wood, and the depth from labdanum and benzoin. There is no agarwood in this composition.
Is the coffee note literal?
Fairly, yes. It reads as roasted coffee rather than a coffee-flavoured sweetness, and it is what keeps the vanilla and tonka from taking over.
Is it too strong for everyday wear?
For most people, yes. It projects hard and lasts, which makes it an evening and cold-weather fragrance rather than a daily signature.
