Fantomas is Nasomatto's most deliberately unconventional creation, a synthetic-melon "gourmand-industrial" scent named for the classic French villain. Created by Alessandro Gualtieri and launched in 2020, it opens with an odd, almost plasticky melon-rubber accord before a smoky, gunpowder-tinged sweetness takes hold. Reviewers are split: some call it a stroke of gummy-amber genius, others find the rubber-and-plastic facets genuinely off-putting. Persolaise's 2020 review summed it up as a "concentrated scent of nightmare", and meant it as a compliment.
