Naomi Goodsir Nuit de Bakelite EDP (Tester)
Description
Nuit de Bakelite is a portrait of tuberose stripped of its usual sweetness and rendered dangerous. Green, narcotic, and strangely tactile. Naomi Goodsir fixes on the flower's overlooked anatomy: the snap of galbanum-sharp stems, the latex-like tangle of stalks bruising against one another, drawn from the wild Persian tuberose rather than its cultivated cousin. Leather, styrax and smoked woods root the composition in something darker and more obsessive, evoking a lady who is less romantic than feral. The result reads as a fragrance of fixation, beautiful, addictive, faintly unsettling.
