Description

Iris Cendre begins as memory: the pale ash left when orris root is burned, a scent that is at once mineral, powdery, and strangely warm. Bergamot and mandarin flare bright over spice before settling into a heart of iris and violet, rendered rooty and creamy rather than sweet, wreathed in incense smoke. Tobacco, labdanum, and amber linger beneath. Sensual, grounded, a little haughty, the olfactory equivalent of one of Naomi's couture hats: refined on the surface, rebellious underneath.
