Description

Bois d'Ascèse is Naomi Goodsir's remembrance of a wooden church in the hills of New South Wales, the countryside around it burning. A smoke-filled memory from her childhood and a nod to her family's Scottish roots. Tobacco and whisky open with a smoldering warmth, deepened by Somalian incense, cade wood, amber and cistus labdanum into something both haunting and comforting. It's less a fragrance than a captured moment: reverence, fire and heritage distilled into scent.
