Marc Antoine Barrois Aldebaran EDP
Description
Aldebaran is tuberose made cool and milky, with a pinch of paprika and a green, tea-like thread of maté. Named after one of the brightest stars in the sky, it is part of the floral constellation that Marc-Antoine Barrois has been building with perfumer Quentin Bisch. The house pictures moonlight on a field of tuberoses; Bisch's brief was to work the flower's milky and fresh-petal facets, redden them with paprika, and add tonka for warmth. The paprika and maté lay an almost camphor-like veil over the flower, so it reads as a fresh, modern tuberose rather than a heavy white floral.
Scent Character
- Woody: 26%
- Sweet: 26%
- Floral: 25%
- Fresh: 23%
Translation: an unusually even split, which matches how it wears. The tuberose never takes over, because the green maté and the tonka keep pulling it in different directions.

Performance
Longevity: Roughly 5–7 hours on skin.

Projection: About arm's length for the first hour or two, then close to the skin.
An honest note: white florals behave very differently from person to person, so wear it for a day before judging it.

FAQ
Is Aldebaran a heavy tuberose?
No. Maté and paprika keep it fresh and slightly green, and the tuberose comes across milky rather than heady.
What does the paprika do?
It adds a warm, faintly spicy tint that the perfumer describes as making the flower blush. It is subtle, not culinary.
Is it men's or women's?
Unisex.
How long does it last?
Around 5–7 hours, with moderate projection.
