Vanilla Oud layers three natural vanillas over a soft, lightly smoky oud. Released in 2025 by the Thai house Maksim Perfume, it opens with bergamot and a sparkle of jungle and pink pepper, then flows into juicy apricot, jasmine sambac and ylang-ylang. The heart is its signature: Madagascar, New Guinea and red vanilla, aged for warmth rather than sugar. Beneath them, Cambodian and Trat oud, benzoin, birch tar, labdanum and Peru balsam add polished wood and a hint of smoke. Reviewers describe the drydown as a fruity vanilla with a gentle, slightly barnyard oud, sweet without being heavy.
