Description

Tubéreuse Astrale is the fifth extrait in Maison Crivelli's range, composed by Quentin Bisch and released in 2024 at a 32% concentration.

Bisch describes it as a play of chiaroscuro, light against dark. Creamy tuberose is the light; the fruity, faintly animalic osmanthus and a leathery base are the dark. Cinnamon sits on top and stays there, and several reviewers note the tuberose-and-cinnamon pairing holds remarkably steady for hours rather than shifting.

Scent Character

  • Floral: 40% (tuberose, osmanthus)
  • Sweet: 30% (vanilla)
  • Spicy: 20% (cinnamon)
  • Woody: 10%

Translation: a creamy, powdery tuberose lifted by fruity osmanthus and warmed by cinnamon, over velvety musk with a leathery edge. Radiant and rich.

Fragrance Pyramid

  • Top: Cinnamon
  • Heart: Tuberose, Osmanthus
  • Base: Musk, Vanilla

Performance

Longevity: Above average. Reviewers commonly report six hours or more with the tuberose still clearly present, which is what a 32% extrait should deliver.

Sillage: Strong. More than one wearer notes it projects considerably from a single spray. Apply conservatively.

Best Occasions & Season

Suited to fall, winter and summer evenings, and to nights out and unhurried leisure. Its richness makes it a poor fit for close quarters like an office.

Concentration & Provenance

Extrait de Parfum at 32%, in 1.7 oz / 50 ml and 3.4 oz / 100 ml. Shipped from the United States.

Try Before You Commit

Decants start at $8.99 for 1 mL, with 5 mL and 10 mL also poured. Strongly advisable here. Tuberose is among the most divisive notes in perfumery, and this is a full-strength extrait.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it a classic old-school tuberose?
Not quite. The osmanthus brings a fruity, slightly animalic angle and the cinnamon adds warmth, which pulls it away from the soapy white-floral tuberoses of the past.

How strong is 32%?
Very. That is extrait territory well above a typical eau de parfum, so one or two sprays will do what four would elsewhere.

Is it too feminine for a man to wear?
It is sold and worn as unisex. The leathery, spiced base gives it structure that stops it reading as purely floral.
