Description

Lorenzo Pazzaglia built Ginfusion around the flourish of a bartender's shaker, the instant a gin cocktail hits ice and the whole room turns bright with citrus. It's a Citrus Aromatic extrait from PAX s.r.l., the small Marche-region house that self-taught, Vogue- and Elle-featured perfumer Lorenzo Pazzaglia runs on family-restaurant instinct rather than perfumery-school formula. The top is a full bar cart of citrus (lime, citron, yuzu, bergamot, mandarin and neroli) sharpened with a cool dash of peppermint; the heart turns unmistakably botanical, juniper and a gin accord tangled with green tea, mate and fresh herbs; and a base of vetiver, sandalwood, cedarwood, cardamom and oakmoss settles it into the slightly bitter afterglow of a night that started at the bar. Reviewers place it in citrus-aromatic company with the classic Bulgari colognes, just with more spirit, literally.

Scent Character

No official accord breakdown has been published for Ginfusion, so here's the read from the pyramid and reviewer consensus:

  • Citrus-Aromatic: the dominant note, a wall of lime, citron, yuzu, bergamot and mandarin up top
  • Green & Herbal: juniper, gin accord, green tea, mate and mint keep it savory rather than sweet
  • Woody-Mossy: vetiver, sandalwood, cedarwood and oakmoss ground the drydown

Translation: a bright, savory citrus-aromatic scent that reads more "cocktail bar" than "candy counter", closer to a gin fizz than a fruit punch.

Fragrance Pyramid

Top: Citron, Lime, Yuzu, Lemon, Sweet Orange, Bergamot, Mandarin, Orange, Peppermint, Neroli, Blackcurrant and Pomelo

Heart: Lemongrass, Lily of the Valley, Green Tea, Spearmint, Tarragon, Juniper, Vervain, Ginger, Mate, Tea, Lemon Balm and Gin

Base: Vetiver, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Cardamom, Oakmoss, Juniper and Amber

Performance

  • Longevity: moderate, roughly 6-8 hours on skin. Reviewers note this one runs a touch shorter than Pazzaglia's typical extrait-strength performance. It opens loud, then settles close to the skin.
  • Sillage: noticeable for the first hour or two, then turns intimate.
  • Projection: 2-3 ft at first spray, fading to arm's-length by the mid-stage.

Best Occasions & Season

  • Warm-weather daytime wear: spring and summer are its natural habitat
  • Brunch, daytime social plans, anywhere a bright citrus-aromatic reads as effortless
  • Unisex. Built for anyone who wants their citrus with an herbal, spirited edge

Skip for: black-tie evenings or cold-weather wear, where its light citrus-aromatic profile can get lost.

FAQ

Is Ginfusion for men or women?
It's unisex, a citrus-aromatic built around a gin cocktail, not a gendered accord.

How long does it last?
Moderate: expect roughly 6-8 hours on skin, with the sillage turning intimate after the first hour or two.

What does it actually smell like?
Like the moment a gin and tonic is poured: bright citrus and juniper up front, green tea and herbs in the middle, and a dry woody-mossy base.

How does it compare to Tropikalys Karma?
Ginfusion is Pazzaglia's light, savory citrus side; Tropikalys Karma is the opposite end of the house: a heavy, sweet tropical-fruit gourmand with much stronger projection.
