Exquisite Pear is a poached, caramel-edged pear dressed in saffron and iris, then wrapped in incense, myrrh and vanilla. It was composed by Chris Maurice for Les Princes du Golfe, the house founded by Alexis Bessy around memories of travel, and released in 2025. The idea is French fruit handled the way Gulf perfumery handles resins. Pear, bergamot and mandarin open with lavender, saffron and a powdery iris. The heart turns darker with incense, myrrh and ambergris, softened by violet, and tonka, vanilla, patchouli and musk make a warm, praline-like base. Expect a resinous vanilla with a pear accent rather than a juicy fruit scent.
