Citron Macaron is bright lemon peel softened with a pastry-shop warmth of tonka and amber, then dried out with cedar and sandalwood. It was composed by Chris Maurice for Les Princes du Golfe, the house founded by perfume lover Alexis Bessy around memories of travel, and released in 2024. The house describes a road from the sun-warmed scrubland of the Mediterranean to the clear water of the Maldives. On skin it is simpler and more likeable than that: citron and a creamy touch of tonka up top, a smooth heart of cedar, amber and powdery iris, and a soft, skin-like base of sandalwood and ambrette. Wearers describe it as a refined fresh-sweet citrus rather than a sugary lemon dessert.
