La Découverte is L’Entropiste’s official discovery set, seven 2.5ml eaux de parfum that map the entire house in miniature. Bertrand Duchaufour, the veteran French perfumer behind acclaimed work at L’Artisan Parfumeur, Amouage and Comme des Garçons, launched L’Entropiste in Paris in January 2025 around a single concept: entropy, the pull toward beautiful disorder. La Découverte is the house’s own answer to "where do I start?", a single box crossing dark and bright, intimate and theatrical registers before you commit to a full bottle.

What's Inside

• Ensang Noir: a dark, resinous rose built around an invented phrase meaning "in black blood."
• Dorian's Spleen: a boozy gourmand of whiskey, caramel and coffee fading into smoke and ash, inspired by The Picture of Dorian Gray.
• Blanc Sada: a soft, powdery iris and rice-powder composition inspired by 1930s Tokyo.
• Semence Douce: a green, almond-milky floral of tulip and saffron, inspired by Robert Mapplethorpe's tulip photography.
• Dawn Whispers (an ozonic, metallic opening over a warming hazelnut-milk amber base) the most polarizing scent in the line.
• Jodhpur 6AM: a sunrise postcard from Rajasthan: black tea, tuberose, fruit and spice.
• Altamura: incense and sweet orange over a boozy, spiced base, named for a 150,000-year-old fossil.
