Description

Altamura takes its name from the ancient Apulian city, and, more pointedly, from the Uomo di Altamura, a Neanderthal skeleton found fused into a cave’s stalactites, frozen in place for 150,000 years. Duchaufour built the fragrance around that idea of time stopped mid-motion: incense and sweet orange over a boozy, spiced base. Fragrantica reviewers call it "very subtle" and "very wearable," with the syrupy-orange-and-incense combination reading almost medicinal to some noses and, to others, the most quietly excellent release in the line, Parfumo classifies it resinous-smoky.
