• Angels' Share: cognac over cinnamon, oak and tonka bean, with praline, vanilla and sandalwood in the base. Warm, boozy and gourmand, like a spiced pastry soaked in brandy.
• Smoking Hot: an apple hookah accord with cinnamon, then tobacco and moss over bourbon vanilla. Sweet apple smoke that turns into warm tobacco.
• Old Fashioned: wheat absolute and davana, a heart of cedarwood and immortelle, and a base of styrax and tolu balsam. Inspired by aged single malt: grainy, honeyed and resinous rather than sugary.
• Intoxicated: green cardamom over mocha coffee and cinnamon, with nutmeg and a vanilla base. Spiced coffee, sweet and dark.
• Vodka on the Rocks: cardamom, coriander and aldehydes, then rhubarb, lily of the valley and rose over sandalwood and oakmoss. Cool, green and floral, the freshest of the eight.
• Angels' Share Paradis: the extrait take on Angels' Share, with raspberry liqueur and cognac over Bulgarian rose, tonka bean and oak. Fruitier and more floral than the original.
• Angels' Share On The Rocks: bergamot, grapefruit and aldehydes over cognac, myrrh and tonka bean. The original's cognac with a bright citrus chill.
• Musk Oud: lemon, cardamom and coriander, a heart of Bulgarian rose, geranium and cypress, and a base of agarwood, musk, incense and patchouli. A spiced rose and oud.

How To Use a Discovery Set

Each 1mL sample comes in a 2mL vial filled halfway, so the vial will look half full. That is the correct amount, and it gives you roughly 15 sprays. Every vial is labeled with the fragrance name.

Wear one fragrance a day, on skin rather than a paper strip, and give it the whole day. The first ten minutes are the loudest and least representative part of any fragrance; judge it at hour three. Once you have a shortlist of two, wear them on opposite wrists and compare. With three versions of Angels' Share in the box, wear the original first, then put Paradis and On The Rocks on opposite wrists to see which direction you prefer.

The original is cognac, cinnamon and praline. Paradis is the extrait, adding raspberry liqueur and Bulgarian rose. On The Rocks brightens the cognac with bergamot and grapefruit.
