• Silky Woods Elixir: fig and saffron over orris and guaiac wood, on vanilla, balsams and a double dose of agarwood. The richest and strongest of the eight.
• Pacific Rock Flower EDP: coastal tea tree and sea salt over coconut and tuberose, on sandalwood and patchouli. A creamy floral aquatic.

How To Use a Discovery Set

Each 1mL sample comes in a 2mL vial filled halfway, so the vial will look half full. That is the correct amount, and it gives you roughly 15 sprays. Every vial is labeled with the fragrance name.

Wear one fragrance a day, on skin rather than a paper strip, and give it the whole day. The first ten minutes are the loudest and least representative part of any fragrance; judge it at hour three. Once you have a shortlist of two, wear them on opposite wrists and compare. The set splits neatly into fresh (the Pacific Rock pair, Bohemian Lime, Ingenious Ginger) and warm (Sunset Hour, Tales of Amber, both Silky Woods), so test the fresh ones on warm days.
