Sì is the blackcurrant-and-rose chypre that reset what a mainstream women's fragrance could smell like. Giorgio Armani launched it in 2013 with perfumer Julie Massé, who took the bones of a classic chypre, the dry, mossy, patchouli-led structure of French perfumery, and swapped the bitterness for nectar-thick blackcurrant and a vanilla drydown. It reads as polished rather than sugary: fruit and rose up top, a warm woody-vanilla base underneath, and a smooth trail that stays close to the wearer rather than filling a room.
