Under My Skin is a leather and iris extrait that reads like warm skin, only richer. Francesca Bianchi released it in 2017 as her own take on animalic perfume. She started with heavy, sweet animalic materials and refined the formula toward elegance, until an artist friend said it seemed to come from the skin itself. Grapefruit and lavender open it, black pepper, spices, rose, carnation and iris butter form the heart, and leather, castoreum, ambergris, costus, tonka, tolu and Peru balsams, sandalwood, vanilla and tree moss make the base. One reviewer described it as two perfumes: soft iris up close, a leathery trail in the air.
