Secret Tryst Extrait de Parfum (2021) is Fragrance du Bois's ode to a clandestine romance, a spicy-floral built by perfumer Nanako Ogi around a warm, resinous heart. It opens on bright saffron, cardamom and bergamot, moves into a heart of rose, jasmine, cedar and vetiver, and settles into an amber-resinous base of patchouli, frankincense (olibanum), vanilla and labdanum. Fragrance du Bois built its name on genuine, plantation-grown oud, but Secret Tryst is a deliberate departure: no agarwood here, just spice, rose and warm resin.
