Description

Molecule 02 is a single aroma molecule, Ambroxan, worn on its own. Geza Schoen launched Escentric Molecules in 2006 with the idea that one material could be a complete fragrance, and Molecule 02 followed in 2008. Ambroxan is the modern stand-in for ambergris: warm, dry and faintly salty, somewhere between clean skin, a sun-warmed stone and a soft wood. It does not develop through top, heart and base the way a composed perfume does. It simply sits on the skin and slowly blends with it, so it reads a little differently on every wearer.

Scent Character

Translation: one note, read as a dry, ambery wood. There is no citrus, no flower and no sweetness to speak of, which is exactly the appeal.

Why can't I smell it after I spray it?
Ambroxan is a large molecule that quickly tires the nose. Others around you can still smell it, and you will often catch it again later in the day.

How is it different from Escentric 02?
