D'Orsay Vouloir Être Ailleurs CG EDT
Description
Vouloir être ailleurs. C.G. is D’Orsay’s reworking of Tilleul, a linden-blossom fragrance the house first created in 1915, reinterpreted by perfumer Olivia Giacobetti in 1995 and folded into the modern “Initials” collection in 2020. It captures budding, early love: lemon leaf brightness over a honeyed linden heart, settling into acacia wood, hay and beeswax. If you like Giacobetti’s other airy, transparent work (L’Artisan’s Premier Figuier, or Diptyque’s Philosykos), this sits in the same soft, green-golden family.
Scent Character
- Fresh (angelica, lemon leaf): 50%
- Woody (acacia): 33%
- Sweet (honeyed linden, beeswax): 17%
Translation: a green-fresh fragrance rather than a classic floral. Linden blossom reads as transparency and a hint of honey, not a bouquet.

FAQ
Is Vouloir être ailleurs C.G. for men or women?
Unisex, and light enough to layer or wear alone.
How long does it last?
It’s intentionally light: expect roughly 2–4 hours close to the skin, true to its airy, transparent style.
Is this a new fragrance or a reformulation?
It’s D’Orsay’s own historic Tilleul (1915), reworked by Olivia Giacobetti in 1995 and reintroduced under the “Initials” collection in 2020.
What does “C.G.” stand for?
D’Orsay hasn’t disclosed it, like most fragrances in the collection, the initials refer to a personality from Alfred d’Orsay’s love letters whose identity is deliberately never revealed.
