Promise Her The Moon is a strange, nostalgic sweet: nail polish, plastic and a rubbery balloon note laid over pear, fig milk and powdered sugar. Composed by Vincent Ricord and released in 2025, it is the most conceptual extrait in the Devertere line, the Italian house founded by father and son Lorenzo and Federico Cavoretto. The opening is deliberately synthetic, with plastic, nail polish and galbanum lit up by orange peel, lemon and ylang-ylang. The heart ripens into pear, dragon fruit, fig milk, basil and jasmine sambac, with caoutchouc keeping a rubbery edge. It settles on tuberose, vanilla, sugar, musk and a thin thread of oud. The idea is childhood memory, and it is the scent from this house most likely to divide opinion.
