• Aventus for Her: from 2016. Green apple, pink pepper and bergamot, then rose, lilac and ylang-ylang over peach, sandalwood, musk and amber. A bright fruity floral with a soft woody finish.
• Carmina: from 2023. Black cherry, saffron and pink pepper, a heart of May rose, peony and violet, and a base of myrrh, frankincense, ambroxan and musk. Rose and cherry warmed by soft resins.
• Queen of Silk: osmanthus, magnolia and saffron over tuberose, passion fruit and patchouli, settling on Madagascar vanilla, incense and myrrh. Creamy white florals over warm vanilla.
• Eladaria: mandarin, bergamot and pink pepper, a heart of rose, peony, lily of the valley and powdery notes, and a base of musk, vanilla and cashmere wood. A soft, powdery rose.
• Love in White: from 2005. Orange peel, then rice husk, iris, jasmine, narcissus and magnolia over vanilla, ambergris and sandalwood. Clean, airy and powdery, the lightest of the five.

How To Use a Discovery Set

Each 1mL sample comes in a 2mL vial filled halfway, so the vial will look half full. That is the correct amount, and it gives you roughly 15 sprays. Every vial is labeled with the fragrance name.

Wear one fragrance a day, on skin rather than a paper strip, and give it the whole day. The first ten minutes are the loudest and least representative part of any fragrance; judge it at hour three. Once you have a shortlist of two, wear them on opposite wrists and compare. Carmina and Eladaria are both rose-led, so if roses are your thing, give those two the opposite-wrist test first.
